Renewal of the Mind (ROTM) App

Your spiritual journey is a personal and private matter to the Renewal of the Mind team. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our devotional app.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your Full Name and Email Address to personalize your experience and secure your account.
- Location Data: With your consent, we collect approximate or precise location data.
- Gallery Access: We request permission to access your device’s photo library.
- Prayer Requests & Devotional Content: We collect the text, requests, and reflections you voluntarily input into the “Prayer Request” section of the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Personalization: To address you by name and save your progress in devotionals.
- Localized Features: To provide local sunrise/sunset times for morning and evening prayers or to help you find nearby churches.
- Community & Support: To manage your prayer requests. If you choose to share a prayer request, it will only be visible to our verified prayer team
- Media Uploads: To allow you to set a profile picture or attach meaningful images to your digital prayer journal.
3. Data Sensitivity & Confidentiality
- We understand that prayer requests are deeply personal.
- We never sell your personal data or prayer requests.
- Your information is protected using secure, encrypted systems. We use strong, industry-standard encryption to keep your information secure. (SSL/TLS, AES-256).
- Prayer requests are only used to support your devotional experience or shared with the prayer team if you choose.
- You may delete your content or account at any time.”
4. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted service providers (such as Firebase) to host our database. These providers are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to ROTM
These providers may only use your data to deliver services on our behalf.
5. Your Privacy Controls
You have the right to:
- Delete your data: You can delete specific prayer requests or your entire account at any time via the app settings.
- Manage Permissions: You can toggle Location and Gallery permissions off in your device’s system settings.
Location Permissions
- Prayer Times: “We use your location to provide accurate sunrise and sunset times for your morning and evening devotionals.”
Gallery (Photos) Permissions
- Profile: “This allows you to select a photo from your library to use as your profile picture.”
- Journaling: “Access to your photos lets you attach meaningful images and memories to your personal prayer requests and journal entries.”
