Unified Terms of Use, Terms & Conditions, and Privacy Policy

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Renewal of the Mind (ROTM) devotional and spiritual discipline application (the “App”).

By tapping “I Agree”, “Accept”, or continuing to use the App constitutes full acceptance and understanding of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Purpose of the App

Renewal of the Mind (ROTM) is designed to support:

Personal devotion and prayer
Scripture engagement and reflection
Spiritual discipline and faith-based growth

The App does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or professional counseling services.
All content is for spiritual encouragement and educational purposes only.

3. Eligibility and Conduct

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the App with parental or guardian consent.

4. License to Use the App

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App:

For personal, non-commercial devotional use only

You may not:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit App content
Modify, reverse engineer, or extract source code
Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
Interfere with App operation or security
Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App

6. Spiritual Content Disclaimer

The App includes:

Prayers
Scriptures
Devotionals
Reflections
Affirmations
Spiritual exercises

Spiritual growth and outcomes vary by individual, and no guarantees are made regarding results.
Users are encouraged to seek pastoral, medical, or professional assistance when needed.

7. User Content

Where the App allows submission of notes, reflections, or prayer requests:

You retain ownership of your content
You grant the ministry a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for App functionality
You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of submitted content
Content violating these Terms may be removed

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. User Data and Privacy (Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020)

8.1 Data Collected

We may collect:

Optional email address
App usage data (devotional progress, reminders)
Voluntary notes, reflections, or prayer entries

8.2 Purpose of Data Use

Support devotional progress during the 45-day period
Communicate essential App-related notices

11. Intellectual Property

All App content—including devotionals, text, graphics, audio, logos, and software—is the exclusive property of Escarpment Road New Testament Church of God or its licensors.

Use of the App does not grant ownership rights.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Jamaican law:

The ministry disclaims all warranties, express or implied
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for App access

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the ministry, its officers, employees, and volunteers from claims or damages arising from:

Your use of the App
Violation of these Terms

14. Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated earlier for violations.
Upon termination, all App use must cease immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

Legal requirements
Operational improvements
Policy changes

Updates will include a revised effective date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.

Material changes will be communicated within the App where practicable.
